Meet Our “Family”

The Grande Mere Inn has been owned and operated by the Racine family since 1980.  Pete & Nancy Racine have been in the restaurant business since the 1960s, and their son, Charley, joined Grande Mere Inn full-time in 1998. This past summer, a third generation of Racines started helping in the restaurant.

The Grande Mere “Family” also includes many wonderful, dedicated employees who have worked for the restaurant for years, including Matt Rauen (Dining Room Manager & Host since 1982), Tony Hicks (Kitchen Manager & Chef since 1983), and Kay Krieger (Day Manager & Prep Cook since 1983).
